Tell LA City Council: End Oil Drilling Near People!

Tuesday, November 28, at 10 a.m. at LA City Hall: PSR-LA will be sending an important message to the Los Angeles City Council on the morning of Tuesday, November 28th: to seriously consider the health impacts and risks associated with urban oil drilling. Along with colleagues from the health community, we are urging the Council to enact a 2,500-ft. human health & safety buffer, which would effectively phase out approximately 80% of the oil facilities which operate within that proximity to homes, schools, hospitals, etc. This is a common-sense solution to protect our communities in such a densely populated area as ours--and what is needed to alleviate the current health impacts experienced by the people located closest to these harmful sites.
